RISC by MQDC Leads Innovation in Thai Property with Expertise in “WELL Building Standard”, Debuting World-Class Wellness Analysis in Thailand
Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) by MQDC’s Mr. Vasuta Chan, Senior Research Architect, offers expertise in green building and indoor well-being with LEED AP BD + C qualifications from the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and WELL AP certification from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) to promote the world-class WELL Building Standard to enhance Thai real estate and drive WELL building certification in Southeast Asia.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Singh Intrachooto, Chief Advisor to RISC, said: “RISC focuses on developing our research team’s in-depth knowledge in various fields to fully meet the needs of well-being. We have developed RISC researchers through working with world-class building standards, promoting the WELL Building Standard of the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI), whose specifications enhance the wellness of building users, in both work and leisure, with a commitment to environmental well-being. RISC promotes the international WELL Building Standard in real estate development under MQDC’s core mission of ‘For All Well-Being’, to deliver sustainable well-being to all life on earth, aiming to spread awareness in Thailand. By adopting the WELL Building Standard and applying it in project development, RISC has helped pioneer the standard in Southeast Asia and Thailand.
Thailand’s first project certified with the WELL Building Standard is RISC’s office, a 990 sq m space on the 4th floor of Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard on Ratchadamri Road in Bangkok. RISC was awarded ‘Gold’ WELL Certification in the category of New and Existing Interiors by the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI).
Mr. Vasuta Chan, Senior Research Architect at Research & Innovation for Sustainability Center (RISC) by MQDC, is an expert accredited with LEED AP BD + C and WELL AP in building standards. He received an IWBI Leadership Award from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) in 2019. He has driven the adoption and application of the WELL Building Standard in Thai property projects, under all 7 WELL concepts: Air, Water, Light, Nutrition, Fitness, Comfort, Mind. The standard is already in effect with RISC by MQDC on the 4th floor of Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard on Ratchadamri Road in Bangkok. Many further MQDC projects will apply the WELL Building Standard in line with MQDC’s commitment to a sustainable good life for all life on earth to realize the vision of ‘For All Well-Being’.
